Colfax sales jumped, but supply stayed tight

The one number that changes what a Colfax homeowner should know right now: supply dropped to 2.8 months, down 5 months from a year ago, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Less supply means buyers have fewer choices. That puts sellers in a stronger spot when they price carefully.

Nationally, Realtor.com reported active listings grew 5.5% year over year, topping 1.16 million homes for sale. Colfax did not follow that trend. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted homes for sale here up only 3% over the same stretch. Buyers here feel that difference every time they search.

Sales in Colfax took off

The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 37 homes sold in ZIP 27235 during the three months ending July 31, 2026. That is up 184.6% from the same months of 2025. Not every neighborhood sees a jump like that.

Prices rose, and sellers got close to what they asked

The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median sale price in ZIP 27235 at $446,436, up 15.5% from a year ago. That is well above the Federal Housing Finance Agency's reading of 2.6% national price growth from July 2025 to July 2026. Colfax is running its own race.

Sellers here got 99.1% of their list price on average, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is up 0.7 points from a year ago. Nationally, Realtor.com reported that 20.8% of listings took a price cut in September, the highest share since October 2022. Colfax sellers mostly held their number.

Many homes went fast, but not all

The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 62.5% of Colfax homes went under contract within two weeks of listing. That share is up 15.4 points from a year ago. Still, the median days on market was 78 days. That tells you some homes moved quickly and others took longer. Pricing and condition still decide the outcome.

Nearly 3 in 10 Colfax homes sold above list price, the Real Estate Data Aggregator reported. That share, 29.7%, is up 14.3 points from a year ago. But that also means about 7 in 10 did not go above asking. A well-priced home in Colfax has a real shot, and an overpriced one still sits.

New listings picked up, but buyers still outnumber options

The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 32 new listings in ZIP 27235 during the three months ending July 31, 2026, up 33.3% from a year ago. That is good news for buyers. Even so, with only 2.8 months of supply, demand is still outrunning what is available. Mortgage rates above 7%, noted by both Realtor.com and Redfin as of late September 2026, have not slowed Colfax closings the way they have in other places.

In short
  1. Colfax saw a big jump in sales and a solid rise in prices during the three months ending July 31, 2026. Supply stayed tight at 2.8 months, down 5 months from a year ago.
  2. Most sellers got nearly their full asking price.
  3. A handful of homes took a while to sell, which is a reminder that price still matters.

One more thing worth knowing: the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 16 pending sales in ZIP 27235, down 5.9% from a year ago. That is a small dip in the pipeline. It is worth watching over the next quarter.
