More homes are for sale in High Point, and buyers have more room to look
The one number that changes things most right now: the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 331 homes for sale across High Point in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 29.8% from the same months in 2025. More choices mean buyers can compare. For sellers, it means your home is competing with more neighbors.
Freddie Mac put the 30-year fixed rate at 7.24% on October 29, 2026. Rates that high slow some buyers down. Yet the Real Estate Data Aggregator still counted 271 homes sold across the three ZIP codes in the same period, up 2.3% from a year before. Buyers are still moving, just a little more carefully.
What each part of High Point looks like right now
High Point covers three ZIP codes, and they tell different stories. Here is how each one looked in the three months ending August 31, 2026, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator.
| 27265 | 27263 | 27260 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Median sale price | $330,000 | $255,000 | $189,000 |
| Homes for sale | 195 | 56 | 80 |
| Homes sold | 164 | 48 | 59 |
| Median days on market | 32 | 34 | 40 |
| Months of supply | 3.6 | 3.6 | 4.2 |
| Sale price as share of list | 98.5% | 97.3% | 96.6% |
27265: The biggest ZIP, steady prices
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 195 homes for sale in 27265, up 34.5% from a year ago. That is the sharpest inventory jump in High Point. The median sale price held at $330,000, unchanged from last year. Homes sold in 32 days at the midpoint, also unchanged. Not every home moved fast, though. Only 20.7% sold above list price, and the share of homes going under contract within two weeks fell 6.7 points to 46.2%.
27263: Prices climbed the most here
In 27263, the Real Estate Data Aggregator recorded a median sale price of $255,000. That is up 10.4% from the same months in 2025, the strongest price gain across the three ZIP codes. Homes for sale rose 27.3%, giving buyers more to look at. Homes sold in 34 days at the midpoint, one day longer than last year. The share selling above list price dipped 2 points to 18.8%.
27260: The most affordable ZIP, and sales picked up
27260 has the lowest prices in High Point. The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median sale price at $189,000, up 6.9% from a year ago. Homes sold here rose 18%, the strongest sales growth of the three ZIPs. It also took the longest to sell, a median of 40 days, though that was 2 days shorter than last year. Months of supply reached 4.2, the highest of the three ZIP codes.
The wider picture: more supply everywhere
High Point is not alone. The National Association of Realtors reported that national inventory reached 1.60 million homes in September 2026. Realtor.com reported active inventory climbed 8.0% year over year as of October 29, 2026. High Point's 29.8% rise, counted by the Real Estate Data Aggregator, is well above that national pace.
Realtor.com also noted that mortgage rates surged above 7% for the first time since January 2025. That lines up with Freddie Mac putting the 30-year rate at 7.24% on October 29, 2026. Higher rates can slow demand. More supply and steadier demand together give buyers more breathing room.
What this means if you are selling in High Point
More listings mean your home has more competition. The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows that homes in 27265 still sold at 98.5% of list price. In 27263 it was 97.3%, and in 27260, 96.6%. Sellers are still getting close to their asking price. But the share going above list price is smaller than last year in two of the three ZIPs. Pricing right from the start matters more now.
Nearly half of all High Point homes still went under contract within two weeks, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. In 27265 it was 46.2%, in 27263 it was 47.2%, and in 27260 it was 44.1%. Well-prepared homes priced to match the market are still moving quickly.
