More homes are selling in the Archdale area, even with more choices
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 416 homes sold across the Archdale area in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 10.6% from the same months in 2025. Homes are still moving, even with more competition on the shelf.
At the same time, Realtor.com reported that mortgage rates topped 7% for the first time since January 2025. That is a real headwind for buyers. Yet sales here kept climbing. That tells you something about demand in this part of North Carolina.
More homes to choose from, but buyers are still deciding
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 426 homes for sale in the Archdale area during that same period. That is up 16.4% from a year before. Buyers have more options. Sellers need to price with that in mind.
Pending sales are a forward-looking sign. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 453 pending sales across the area, up 8.1% from a year ago. That points to continued activity going into the fall.
Each neighborhood tells its own story
Thomasville (27360) led the area. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 181 homes sold there, up 24.8% from a year before. The median sale price came in at $274,888, up 7.8%. Homes took a median of 50 days to sell, which is 13 days longer than last year. More inventory, a bit more patience needed.
Asheboro (27205) was another bright spot. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 82 homes sold, up 32.3%. The median price was $297,000, up 3.7%. Homes there took a median of 37 days, just one day longer than last year.
Trinity (27370) saw fewer sales. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 59 homes sold, down 20.3%. But the median price was $357,000, up 8.9%. Nearly 1 in 4 homes there sold above list price, and 44.3% went under contract within two weeks. Fewer homes listed, and buyers moved quickly on the ones that did.
High Point (27263) held steady. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 48 homes sold, unchanged from a year ago. The median price was $255,000, up 10.4%. Nearly half of homes, 47.2%, went under contract within two weeks of listing.
Asheboro (27203) is worth watching. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 46 homes sold, and the median price came in at $216,495, down 13.4% from a year ago. Homes took a median of 57 days. Inventory there rose 36.6%. If you are selling in 27203, pricing carefully matters more right now.
What the national picture adds
CNBC reported that the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate was 7.37% as of late October 2026. That is real money every month. Realtor.com also noted that 20.8% of listings nationally took a price cut in September, up from a year before. In the Archdale area, sales are still rising. But that national backdrop is a reminder to price with care.
The Federal Housing Finance Agency reported that U.S. home prices rose 2.4% from August 2025 to August 2026. The Archdale area's prices moved faster than that in most ZIP codes, which is worth knowing.

One last thing. The numbers above cover whole ZIP codes. One street in High Point or one block in Thomasville can read very differently from the ZIP code average. If you want to know what is happening right at your address, send me a note.
